   Na lang wikken en wegen, moves van Groen Links naar VVD wordt het vandaag d’66, en een vrouw, dus ik denk dat ik op jou ga stemmen.

   Since you are one of the eminent writers about “the two defining challenges of our time: climate change and poverty” (Stern, 2009), I would highly appreciate if we could meet soon and discuss some strategic aspects of development. Any place and any time suitable for such a discussion will do for me. Ik woon zelf nu in Delft.

   More than 35 year of experience with community development, micro finance and my own enterprise ( making wooden toys) brought me to this tree credits concept which might be a most effective way out of poverty and to empower rural women.

   Tree credits is a community based, micro finance implemented method to pay villagers for 10 years to plant and grow their own trees, which could have a global impact on rural poverty, employment and the climate. The program is easy to implement by existing structures and is nearly waste and corruption proof. Doubling the world tree cover by shade trees, fruit forests and mixed production woods would absorb most of all excess CO2 by 2050 and make the world a much more sustainable place.
